Laboratory Lysimeter :

• The laboratory lysimeters are small, weighable lysimeter stations, suitable for monoliths with a diameter of 150 to 800 mm and a height of 200 to 1,500 mm and for indoor investigations. It is suitable for both disturbed (hand-filled) and undisturbed soil monoliths (special extraction devices).
• We offer laboratory lysimeters in a variety of configurations. Each laboratory lysimeter system is customized to the planned project.
• Possible measurement parameters are:weighing, Lower boundary condition, sprinkling, water content of the soil, soil temperature, Electric conductivity, soil pore sampling redox, PH value
• Lysimeters are an important tool for investigating the water balance in agriculture, forestry and other ecological issues. In combination with precipitation measurements (sprinkling system) they enable the quantitative determination of the current evaporation of vegetation-covered or bare soil.
• Our laboratory lysimeter is a small lysimeter that we have specially designed for laboratory use (indoors). Design, structure and functionality are always fully tailored to the examination objective.
• The UGT laboratory lysimeter can be expanded with a tension and time-controlled suction probe system for the automated control of the pore water extraction module and the lower lysimeter edge module and with a sprinkler system.

Ready-to-Go-Lysimeter (Field Application) :

• Measurement technology in the smallest of spaces: In addition to our large lysimeter stations, we also offer the smaller and cheaper ready-to-go lysimeters (RTG lysimeters). They are perfect for field studies and can be set up without special tools or personnel. Choose between different diameters or lengths. If required, we can add a weather station or other measuring instruments to the RTG lysimeters - according to your wishes.
• In addition to the large HDPE lysimeter stations, we have also developed a smaller and more cost-effective solution for field studies to complement our product line.
• The Ready-To-Go lysimeters are small weighable lysimeter stations suitable for monoliths with a diameter of 300, 500, 800 or 1000 mm and a length of 300, 600 or 900 mm. All Ready-To-Go Lysimeters (RTG) are designed for both disturbed (filling by hand) and undisturbed soil monoliths (special extraction technique) suitable. The entire RTG lysimeter station can be set up and put into operation without any special tools or trained UGT personnel. The standard RTG system consists of a lysimeter vessel made of stainless steel, a weighing system, a leachate tank with a tipping trough, a set of high-precision and tailor-made soil hydrological sensors and a control station in each case. With UGT sensors such as tensiometers, water content and temperature probes as well as suction probes, we can support you in investigating the function and effects of ecosystems. The RTG system can be expanded with a pore water extraction system and the UGT weather station module with climate sensors.
